Vision Statement

The Vision Statement of 1st Free Will Baptist Church of Park Hills expresses our shared vision for ministry and discipleship.

While our Mission Statement identifies the purpose of our church, our Vision Statement describes the kind of ministry we desire to develop and the spiritual growth we seek to encourage in the lives of those we serve.

Our Vision Statement #

“To develop Christ-focused and empowered ministries that will help individuals become disciples of Christ who reflect His image and serve Him.”

Our Shared Vision #

Our vision emphasizes the importance of developing ministries that are centered on Jesus Christ and intentionally focused on helping people grow as His disciples.

Three important priorities are expressed in this statement:

Christ-Focused Ministries

Jesus Christ must remain central to the purpose, direction, and activities of our ministries. Our goal is not simply to maintain programs or provide activities, but to conduct ministry that points people toward Christ.

Developing Disciples

We desire to help individuals become genuine followers of Jesus Christ, growing in their understanding of Scripture, their relationship with Him, and their obedience to His teachings.

Reflecting Christ and Serving Him

Spiritual growth should produce lives that increasingly reflect the character of Jesus Christ and demonstrate a willingness to serve Him faithfully.

Guiding Our Ministry #

This vision provides direction as we evaluate existing ministries, develop new opportunities, equip ministry leaders, and encourage continued spiritual growth within our congregation.

It reminds us that the success of ministry is not measured merely by activity or attendance, but by its contribution to helping people become disciples who reflect Christ and serve Him.
