The Church Driver Approval Policy (POL-DRIVER) establishes the qualifications, screening requirements, and approval procedures for individuals seeking authorization to drive in connection with ministries, events, activities, or trips sponsored by 1st Free Will Baptist Church of Park Hills.

This policy applies to individuals operating church-owned, rented, borrowed, or personal vehicles for approved church ministry purposes.

The policy addresses minimum driver qualifications, licensing and insurance requirements, motor vehicle record reviews, disclosure of driving history, ongoing responsibilities, and circumstances that may result in restrictions or removal from the approved driver list.

Important Information #

Only individuals approved by the General Board are authorized to drive for church ministry purposes.

Prospective drivers must meet the applicable qualifications and complete the required approval process before transporting individuals or operating vehicles on behalf of the church.

Approved drivers are responsible for promptly reporting changes affecting their driver’s license, insurance coverage, driving record, or ability to operate a vehicle safely.

This policy works alongside the Church Transportation and Vehicle Use Policy (POL-TRANSPORT), which establishes additional requirements for transportation activities.

This policy is part of the church’s Policies & Best Practices Manual and is subject to the church’s Constitution and Bylaws.
