Facilities Use and Building Stewardship Policy (POL-FACILITIES)

The Facilities Use and Building Stewardship Policy (POL-FACILITIES) establishes the guidelines and expectations for the responsible use of buildings, grounds, furnishings, equipment, and other property belonging to 1st Free Will Baptist Church of Park Hills.

The church recognizes its facilities as resources entrusted to us by God for worship, ministry, fellowship, service, and appropriate community use. This policy seeks to encourage the generous use of church property while protecting church resources and ensuring that activities remain consistent with the church’s faith, mission, and testimony.

The policy addresses facility reservations, approval authority, scheduling priorities, fees and deposits, supervision, appropriate conduct, equipment and kitchen use, cleaning responsibilities, insurance requirements, property damage, and special circumstances involving children, youth, and vulnerable adults.

Important Information #

Church facilities are provided for approved purposes and are not rented for profit. Church ministries, worship gatherings, official meetings, funerals, and church-sponsored activities receive priority when scheduling facility use.

Requests to use church facilities must receive approval from the appropriate pastor, Trustee Board, or other authorized church leadership. Certain requests may be referred to the General Board for additional consideration.

Submitting a facility use request does not constitute approval or a confirmed reservation.

Depending on the nature of the event, individuals or organizations may be required to complete a Facility Use Request Form, sign a Facility Use Agreement, provide proof of insurance, or satisfy additional conditions established by church leadership.

Those approved to use church facilities are responsible for appropriate supervision, compliance with church policies, reasonable care of property and equipment, cleanup, and securing the facilities as instructed.

The church reserves the right to approve, deny, limit, or cancel facility use when necessary for ministry priorities, safety, responsible stewardship, scheduling, or consistency with the church’s beliefs and policies.

This policy is part of the church’s Policies & Best Practices Manual and is subject to the church’s Constitution and Bylaws.
